PMI & TUE’s visit to CROMA’s sterilization center

On 21 November 2023, four members of our research teams from Politecnico di Milano and Eindhoven University of Technology visited a sterilization center managed by Croma Gio. Batta in Burgos, Spain. Croma Gio. Batta is one of our industrial partners professional in the supply and maintenance of surgical instruments as well as the management of sterilization centers and operating rooms.

The sterilization center that we visited cleans, inspects, packs, sanitizes and stores thousands of surgical instruments a day, ensuring the availability of sterile kits for every operation in University Hospital of Burgos. María Guedes, the technical director of the sterilization center, warmly received us and guided us through all the stages of the running process in detail.
