Politecnico di Milano is the most important technical university in Italy and one of best in Europe according to recent rankings. Since 1836, Politecnico di Milano has been active in several scientific and technical fields and will join through the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Department of Mechanical Engineering is ranked 1st in Italy, 5th in Europe and 17th worldwide (Engineering - Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing - QS 2018) and it is among the 180 “Excellent Departments” selected in 2018 by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. It has 128 full-time faculty members, 68 research fellows, 194 Ph.D. candidates and 52 technical and administrative staff. The mission of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is to promote and develop culture, research and innovation in its sectors of reference, but also in new fields doomed to become more and more important in society and in our present background. For example, it specifically deals with transports and sustainable mobility, power technologies, biomechanics and service robotics, bio materials, smart materials and hybrid materials, manufacturing and production systems, space and security.

SYXIS is an European Innovation Hub, for testing sustainable pathways. SYXIS is a network of companies (SMEs) that share technological and manufacturing instruments and knowledge to develop further into European projects and commercial projects. SYXIS was born in 2022 from Holonix and Cyberbrain experiences with the aim to acquire EU projects that can be executed successfully achieving results to enable synergic SMEs growth. Main focus of SYXIS is to carry our European proposals and projects in an efficient and result oriented way. SYXIS has strong expertise in innovation: more than 30 European projects among his actual associates, more than 400 organizations in his network, more than 90 innovation cases. In European projects SYXIS could have several roles as: Project Coordinator, Technical coordinator, IoT and IT Platform developer, Pilot Harmonizers (Pilot WP leader), Solution Ambassadors, Exploitation Managers, Dissemination and Communication manager and Data Managers.

TTS was founded in 1993. The company business complements traditional industrial research activities in the area of simulation and knowledge management with the development of proprietary and customized simulation solutions. TTS expertise lies with the development of digital representations, that can be linked and continuously updated with data coming from the real world exploiting the CPS paradigm: this technology is used for setting up new plants, testing PLC logics and as a monitoring system for production plant behaviour.

CORE Innovation Centre is a non-profit RTO, subsidiary of CORE Innovation & Technology OE, aiming to provide individuals, industries and companies with opportunities to reach their true potential, to make industries smarter and greener, more sustainable and more socially inclusive. Industry 4.0 is where CORE IC chooses to focus its research and innovation efforts. Koç University is a non-profit institution of higher education, located in Istanbul, Turkey. For more than sixty years, IBM Research, as the world’s largest IT research organisation, has been the innovation engine of the IBM Corporation. IBM Israel Science and Technology Limited, better known as IBM Research – Israel, was first established in 1972. Since then, the lab has conducted decades of research vital to IBM’s success. The lab is one of 9 research laboratories located outside of the United States and has close working relationships with IBM Israel and its twin research laboratory in Zurich. In IBM Research – Israel, 25 percent of the technical staff have doctorate degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related fields. Employees are actively involved in teaching at Israeli higher education institutions and in supervising post-graduate theses. UBITECH is a leading, highly innovative software house, systems integrator and technology provider, established in Greece in 2005, with offices also in Cyprus and Argentina. UBITECH demonstrates strong involvement in EC and National co-funded research programmes, though the design, development and implementation of research and technological development instruments. UBITECH is domain-agnostic, and performs applied state-of-the-art research in the areas of Big Data and Analytics; A/I and M/L, Digital Security and Privacy, Cyber-Physical Systems and Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and 5G Technologies, applying the developed solutions across different domain verticals.

Erre Quadro srl is a consulting and R&D company, specialized in the development of algorithms and software for the automatic analysis of technical texts, with the aim of supporting the enterprises in their needs for intellectual property protection, knowledge management and retrieval, and business intelligence. The company is a spin-off the University of Pisa. Erre Quadro uses its software and expertise to map and analyse the Intellectual Property landscape, to support clients both at R&D level (design around, identification of white spaces to guide the design process, …) and at strategic level (early detection, assessment of the potential of new technologies, evaluation and due diligence, technology and skills foresight, definition of the right up-reskilling activities, support to decision making…). In addition, Erre Quadro has been focusing on strategic solutions for assessing hard and soft skills in the workplace, especially in highly innovative technological environments.

gr3n was founded in 2011, with its main aim being to solve plastic waste issues globally, but with a specific focus on PET which was considered the biggest problem at the time: polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging. After the KTI certification from Innosuisse, gr3n received two EU grants: Symbiotima in 20xx, and Demeto in 20xx, to build the first pilot reactor, followed by a demo plant located in Chieti, Italy based on its patented technology. In 2018 gr3n’s technology received the Innovation Radar prize, a prize awarded to Europe's most promising innovations that have emerged from EU-funded research and innovation projects. In June 2021 gr3n closed a financing round A of 7.5M€, with Chevron Technology Venture (CTV), Standex International and Intecsa Industrial among the investors. Gr3n is now counting 18 employees, with the HQ in Chiasso, Switzerland and a brand-new R&D Hub in Albese con Cassano, Italy.

Croma Gio.Batta España was founded in 2012 with the aim of combine to the activity of supply, reconditioning and maintenance of the surgical instruments, the services of project and management for Central of Sterilization and operating rooms. In the 2012 it was made, with the General Contractor that manage the main services of the Hospital of Burgos, a contract for the supply, maintenance and management of all surgical instruments and of the sterilization services, maintenance of equipment included. The Central of Sterilization of the Burgos Hospital managed directly by Croma Gio.Batta España and accredited ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 has become a reference model for the organization and for the qualitative system in all the Spanish territory.
